About Haines

“Everything you thought Alaska would be is in Haines! Here you will find a perfect sampling of Alaska’s history, scenic beauty, arts, culture, wildlife, and lifestyle.” The Chilkat Valley is renowned for its scenery, outdoor recreation, and native and pioneer history.

I love living in Haines, it is so beautiful – the mountains rise right up from the beach and river valleys. There are lots of fish and wildlife and plenty of interesting, friendly people. I also like the influence my Tlingit neighbors have on our culture and community values.

Being one of the first eco-tour companies in S.E. Alaska, we are proud of our mission to “revive your sense of wonder.” We have chosen the best places to explore, hire knowledgeable guides, and use quality equipment to enhance your experience.

Our passion and expertise have been cultivated by living in this special part of the world. Credit for the company’s success goes to the innovative and creative staff that Alaska Nature Tours has collaborated with over the past 36 years.
